Norrøna – from Oslo to the world's mountains since 1929

Norrøna was founded in Oslo in 1929 by Jørgen Jørgensen and is today a Norwegian family business in its fourth generation. Over nearly a hundred years, the brand has evolved from producing leather goods and rucksacks to becoming one of Scandinavia's leading brands in technical outdoor clothing, and in 1977 was the first in Europe to make a jacket in Gore-Tex.

Function and quality at every level

The range covers everything from alpine skiing and freeride to ski touring, climbing, hunting and outdoor pursuits. The collections are often named after places where the garments are intended to be used, such as Lofoten, Trollveggen and Bitihorn, and product development takes place at the head office outside Oslo in collaboration with athletes and expeditions.
