Norrøna fjørå flex1 Shorts Women's is a versatile and technical mountain bike short developed for active use on singletrack, but it also works extremely well for hiking, mountain climbing, and winter running. This is one of Norrøna's most popular softshell shorts, now in a lighter version than previous generations without any compromise to durability or function.

The short is made from high-quality flex1 softshell fabric that combines excellent stretch, high durability, and good wind protection with very good breathability and effective moisture transport. The fabric is double-woven with 4-way stretch and consists of 88% recycled nylon and 12% elastane, with a weight of 165 g/m². The surface has a PFC-free DWR treatment, and the material is both bluesign- and GRS-certified for more responsible production.

The fit is technical and developed for active cycling in demanding terrain. The comfort waist system provides good support and comfort over long sessions, while a silicone-coated inner waistband keeps the short stable during movement. A zip fly and adjustable hook-and-loop fastening at the waist allow for precise adjustment. A gusset in the crotch reduces the risk of chafing against the saddle, and the thoroughly considered construction provides good freedom of movement and room for knee protectors.

The short is equipped with several practical pockets, including hand pockets, a lower back pocket, and a thigh pocket, all with zip closures for secure storage. Tapered legs and highly articulated panels create a balanced and functional silhouette that works equally well on the bike as for other demanding outdoor use.
