Norrøna Falketind Thermo40 Zip Hood is a lightweight, technical insulated jacket developed for mountain climbing throughout the year. It also performs excellently for hiking, ski touring and other outdoor activities where low weight, warmth and packability are important.

The outer fabric is made from 20D ripstop recycled nylon weighing 37 g/m². The lightweight aeroDownproof material is windproof, soft and durable, and provides effective protection against cold wind. The jacket is insulated with Thermo40, a synthetic insulation of 100% recycled polyester at 40 g/m². The insulation offers good warmth relative to its weight and retains its insulating properties even when damp.

The jacket features a helmet-compatible hood with one-handed adjustment, elasticated cuffs and a slightly longer back panel that provides extra protection against the elements and cold. A zipped chest pocket and two hand pockets offer secure and easily accessible storage.

The technical fit with articulated sleeves allows good freedom of movement during climbing and other active pursuits. Low weight and good packability make the jacket easy to carry in a pack as an extra insulating layer when the temperature drops.
