Montane Mens Norste XT Jacket is a technical shell jacket developed for demanding conditions where full weather protection and high comfort are essential. The jacket is made from PERTEX® Shield, a 3-layer 40D nylon fabric that delivers reliable waterproofing, good breathability and impressive durability without becoming heavy or bulky. The refined fit ensures natural freedom of movement during everything from steep ascents to fast traverses.

The PERTEX® Shield fabric has a waterproofness rating of 20,000 mm hydrostatic head and a breathability rating of 20,000 g/m²/24 h. The construction combines ripstop with a fluorocarbon-free durable water repellent finish for increased longevity and reduced environmental impact. The inner face is laminated with a nylon-based backer fabric that provides good comfort next to the skin and consistent moisture transfer.

The jacket features a PIVOT 2 hood with a laminated, low-profile peak that offers reliable protection in wind and rain without adding weight. A YKK AQUAGUARD® NATULON® front zip keeps water out, while adjustable cuffs, an adjustable hem and underarm ventilation zips allow the jacket to be quickly adapted to changing weather conditions.

Both the outer fabric and the nylon backer are made from recycled nylon, contributing to a durable and functional garment.
