Yes. The women's models are cut for women's proportions, with narrower shoulders, more room over the hips and adjusted sleeves and length. That gives a better fit and freedom of movement than a men's model in a small size.
Wash the jacket regularly with a detergent for technical garments – dirt and sweat weaken the membrane. Tumble dry on low heat to renew the water-repellent finish. If water no longer beads on the surface, you can reproof the jacket.
