Arc'teryx
Technical precision from the Coast Mountains
Arc'teryx – Canadian precision for the mountains
Arc'teryx was founded in Vancouver in 1989 under the name Rock Solid and was renamed Arc'teryx in 1991, after the prehistoric bird Archaeopteryx. The brand is headquartered in North Vancouver, just beside the Coast Mountains, where products are developed, tested and continually refined in true alpine conditions.
Built for alpine sports
Arc'teryx is known for Gore-Tex shell jackets, down jackets, climbing harnesses and packs with uncompromising fit and durability. The brand covers mountaineering, alpinism, freeride, ski touring and demanding everyday use, and has dedicated lines such as LEAF for defence and rescue, Veilance for urban techwear and PRO for ski patrol and mountain guides.
Details and durability
Design details such as taped seams, ergonomically shaped patterns and minimalist construction are signatures of the brand. The products are a natural choice for those who want mountain clothing with a very high technical standard and a long service life, and who appreciate functional aesthetics without unnecessary embellishment.
