Arc'teryx Norvan LD 4 is a long-distance shoe developed for running in technical terrain where the surface shifts between soil, roots, mud and rock. The roomy forefoot allows ample space for natural foot movement, and the stable midfoot section provides confidence on uneven ground. The shoe combines low weight with high durability, and the technical upper is made from two PFAS-free woven materials that offer breathability and flexibility where it is needed most. Strategic TPU reinforcements protect against wear. The lacing system tightens evenly and holds the foot securely in place, while a flat-knit tongue wraps around the foot and prevents slipping. A dedicated tongue pocket over the instep provides a secure place to tuck away the laces, helping you avoid snagging and distractions on the trail.

The dual midsole combines responsive cushioning with long-lasting impact absorption, making the shoe particularly well suited for longer outings. A flexible external frame locks the midfoot and prevents the foot from sliding forward on steep descents, providing control and comfort throughout the stride. The moulded insole is soft and comfortable against the foot and delivers extra comfort during long sessions.

The outsole is equipped with Vibram Megagrip with LITEBASE technology, offering reliable grip on both hard and soft surfaces while keeping weight low. The lugs are 4 mm tall and shaped to provide secure traction on rock, roots and wet terrain, biting effectively into soil and soft trails. Stack height is 25 mm at the heel and 19 mm at the forefoot, giving a drop of 6 mm and a natural, controlled running stride.

The Norvan LD 4 is designed with a Comfort Fit, which provides generous room at the toes and a less snug feel around the foot. The model may run large, and it is recommended to use the size guide to find your foot length and then go down half a size for the optimal fit.
