Arc'teryx Norvan LD 4 GTX Women's is an all-season running shoe developed for long outings in demanding terrain and changeable weather. The waterproof GORE-TEX construction with Invisible Fit technology keeps feet dry without compromising flexibility or comfort, and the breathable upper ensures a pleasant climate regardless of pace or distance.

The shoe features a Comfort Fit design with a roomy toe box and a less snug fit around the foot, providing extra comfort on long outings and natural freedom of movement in undulating terrain. Note that the model may run large – it is recommended to choose a half size smaller after measuring foot length.

The upper is made from durable, PFAS-free woven polyester that combines low weight with good breathability and flexibility. Strategically placed TPU laminates on exposed areas provide additional protection and durability. The lacing system delivers even tightening and holds the midfoot securely in place, while a dedicated lace pocket keeps the laces tucked away so they do not catch on branches or rocks. A flexible external frame around the midfoot prevents the foot from sliding forward on steep descents.

The dual-density midsole provides a balanced blend of cushioning, responsiveness and long-lasting impact protection, making it ideal for both technical trails and hard surfaces. The inner shoe consists of a full GORE-TEX lining that is soft, flexible and comfortable, offering full protection in wet conditions. Stack height is 25 mm at the heel and 19 mm at the forefoot, giving a drop of 6 mm for a natural running stride with good control and stability.

The Vibram Megagrip outsole with LITEBASE technology ensures reliable grip on both dry and wet surfaces, whilst the construction keeps weight to a minimum. The 4 mm lug pattern is optimised for varied terrain, with solid traction on soft trails and precise contact on rock and roots – ideal for runners moving between muddy forest paths, technical mountain sections and harder surfaces, often within the same outing.
