Rab Borealis Hoody is a lightweight, packable and highly versatile softshell jacket designed for active days in the mountains. The jacket is equally well suited to running on exposed ridges, ski touring and climbing as it is to general outdoor activities where good breathability and effective wind protection are important. The flexible design makes it straightforward to wear both as an outer layer and as a light protective layer over other garments.

The jacket is made from Matrix™ single-weave stretch fabric, which provides an excellent balance between wind resistance, durability and high breathability. The fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment offers additional protection against light moisture, while the fabric dries quickly and follows the body's movements without feeling restrictive. The low weight and compact pack size make the jacket easy to carry in a rucksack when conditions call for an extra layer.

Rab Borealis Hoody features a low-profile hood with an elasticated edge that fits securely and works effectively under a helmet. Elasticated cuffs contribute to a close and comfortable fit while keeping bulk to a minimum. Two zip pockets on the front provide practical storage for small items, and the hem can be adjusted easily with one hand to keep draughts out. The front zip is fitted with a chin guard for added comfort.

The main fabric is made from recycled polyamide and elastane, while the pocket lining consists of recycled polyester.
