Organotex BIO Spray-On textile waterproofing is a bio-based and biodegradable impregnation treatment that restores a garment's water- and dirt-repellent function without interfering with the membrane's performance.

The impregnation is sprayed directly onto the garment and can be used to improve water repellency on most sports and outdoor garments, including rain jackets, ski clothing, softshells, hardshells, hiking trousers, down jackets, wind jackets, and textile gloves. It can also be used on sleeping bags, horse blankets, outdoor cushions, and other outdoor textiles.

The spray impregnation is compatible with membranes such as Gore-Tex®. It does not interfere with the membrane's function and can in fact assist with vapour transmission. A wet outer fabric can otherwise reduce membrane performance by up to 70%. Because the product is sprayed on, you can concentrate the treatment on particularly exposed areas such as shoulders, back, and knees.

How to use the product: - Wash the textile without fabric softener and ensure the material is completely dry. - Shake the bottle, protect the work surface, and spray the garment from a distance of 20 cm until the entire material is evenly dampened. Repeat on any dry patches that appear after 1 minute. - Wipe off excess liquid with a cloth or sponge. Make sure no drops or residue remain, as these may cause staining. Overdosing does not improve protection. - For best results, dry the textile in a tumble dryer or drying cabinet (40–70 degrees) if the care instructions permit. It is also possible to allow the product to air-dry for at least 24–48 hours. Any drying marks can be removed by gentle heating with, for example, a hair dryer or an iron on a low setting.

The formula is entirely bio-based and readily biodegradable in accordance with OECD 301F. It consists of water, natural fatty acids, and surfactants, and is free from fluorocarbons (PFC/PFAS), fossil-based polymers, and synthetic wax. The product carries the OEKO-TEX Eco Passport environmental label and is a USDA Certified Biobased Product.

500 ml covers approximately 4 garments or 10 square metres of fabric.
