Sleeping bags are rated with comfort, limit and extreme temperatures. Choose according to the lowest expected night-time temperature, but bear in mind that individual sensitivity to cold varies. Women often feel the cold a little more than men, so a sleeping bag with a little extra capacity is the safe choice. Remember a good sleeping mat too – without one, even the warmest sleeping bag will feel cold.
