Exped Orion II Extreme is a robust and reliable tent built for demanding expeditions and trips in tough conditions. The distinctive, freestanding ridged tunnel tent construction has proven itself over more than 20 years on expeditions and mountain tours worldwide, combining high wind stability, good weather protection and durable materials in one well-considered design.

The tent is a full 4-season tent with room for two people, and fits two M- or LW-Exped sleeping mats side by side. The outer tent is in 40D ripstop nylon with silicone coating on both sides and a hydrostatic head of 3000 mm, constructed to withstand strong winds, snow and rain. The inner tent in 30D ripstop nylon is combined with 20D mosquito netting (No-See-Um) for good ventilation. The floor in 70D taffeta nylon with PU coating has a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm with seam-taped seams. The poles are from DAC Featherlite NSL (9.6 mm and 10.25 mm) for low weight and high strength.

The freestanding construction means the tent can be moved and repositioned after it has been pitched, and it can stand firmly even on surfaces where it is difficult to secure pegs. The large porch of 2.25 m² provides ample space for equipment and cooking. All materials are OEKO-TEX 100 certified, PFC-free and free from flame retardants.
