Rab Xenair Alpine Light Jacket is a lightweight, technical insulated jacket developed for activities with varying intensity and changeable weather conditions. The jacket offers a considered balance between warmth and breathability, maintaining comfort even as pace and temperature shift throughout the day. The synthetic PrimaLoft® Gold Active+ insulation is body-mapped and positioned with lighter insulation in warmer zones, contributing to effective temperature regulation during activity.

This versatile jacket can be worn as a technical outer layer on fast summer and shoulder-season trips, or as an active mid-layer when conditions turn colder. An updated, highly breathable lining ensures excess heat escapes quickly, allowing the layer to be kept on even as effort levels increase. This makes the jacket particularly well suited to dynamic activities such as ski touring, alpine terrain and long approaches.

The jacket is optimised for vertical movement, with articulated sleeves that provide good reach when climbing and using poles. The close-fitting hood is designed to sit comfortably under a helmet without obstructing vision or movement. Three zip pockets provide practical storage for small items, and an internal chest pocket also functions as a stuff pocket with a clip loop for a climbing harness. Elasticated cuffs give a good fit with gloves, while hem adjustment helps keep draughts and cold out.
