Osprey Ariel 55 is a women's-specific touring rucksack of 55 litres, built for heavy loads on multi-day trips and longer expeditions. The adjustable Custom Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt and shoulder straps can be moulded to the body, and the back length is adjustable, allowing the pack to be fine-tuned for an optimal fit.

The carry system consists of an AirScape back panel with ventilation channels and a LightWire aluminium frame, which distributes weight and provides stability under heavy loads. The recommended load range is approximately 14–27 kg. The pack is top-loading with a removable lid and a FlapJacket for use without the lid.

Practical features include a dedicated zip compartment for a sleeping bag with a removable divider, an internal hydration sleeve, two zip pockets on the hipbelt, compression straps, ice axe attachments, and a Stow-on-the-Go attachment for trekking poles. A rain cover is included.

The material is bluesign-approved nylon with a PFC-free water-resistant treatment. The pack weighs approximately 2.2 kg and is available in sizes XS/S (52 litres) and M/L (55 litres).
