Bags in the 60–79 litre range are built for longer trips and expeditions – weeks in the mountains, multi-day winter camping trips, or outings with a lot of specialist equipment. They have room for everything you need for a self-sufficient life outdoors.

When do you need a bag this large?

For long multi-day trips: room for food, clothing, sleeping gear and specialist equipment. For winter trips: winter clothing takes up more space than summer clothing. For expeditions: extra capacity for safety. Make sure the bag has a reinforced back panel and an adjustable carrying system – heavy loads demand good ergonomics.

Getting the fit right

A good rucksack should sit firmly on the hips – the hip belt should carry most of the weight, not the shoulder straps. Make sure the back system suits your torso length and that the bag has good ventilation against your back. We are happy to help you find the right size and fit in store.
