Exped Lightning 60 in the colour Black is the largest model in the Lightning series, offering 60 litres of volume designed for longer trips where a little extra space is needed. The packed weight is around 1.2 kg, and the pack can carry loads of up to 22 kg.

The main compartment closes with a roll top and top zip, while zigzag compression on the front and side adjusts the volume and secures larger items such as sleeping mats or outer tents. The height-adjustable T-Rex carry system with aluminium stays features reduced contact points for good ventilation, and transfers the load to a padded hip belt with zip pockets.

Gear can be organised across two elasticated side pockets, an elasticated front pocket, a zip lid pocket, and a pocket on the shoulder strap. Pole attachments are found on both the side and the front.

The main fabric is 210D HMPE ripstop nylon, PU-coated with a 1000 mm water column and bluesign-approved. The base is reinforced with recycled 600D polyester, PU-coated with a 1500 mm water column. The pack is PFAS-free and certified to bluesign and Oeko-Tex standards.
