Antarctic is Brynje's unique specialist product for hiking and outdoor life. This touring, hunting and mountain jacket is a natural further development based on Brynje's philosophy – a philosophy rooted in the most demanding challenge in outdoor clothing: transporting moisture away from the body, and retaining warmth.

Antarctic functions as both a mid-layer and an outer layer. It allows you to go further and longer without a wind jacket, keeping you drier – particularly when carrying a rucksack. This provides far greater comfort, well-being and, not least, better safety should bad weather catch you out.

Throughout the jacket you will find Super Thermo mesh in Polypropylene as the lining, and the finest close-knit Merino wool on the outside. The mesh provides insulation at rest and ventilation during activity, while the wool absorbs heat vapour from the body and adds warmth. Between the mesh and the wool, a soft windproof layer has been incorporated. The jacket's windproof layer protects the heat-producing organs – stomach, lungs and heart – and helps prevent the body from wasting energy. This extreme-conditions garment is also well suited to calmer activities and everyday all-round use.
