Crampons are winter's best friend when trails are slippery and icy. A good set of crampons can prevent falls and injuries and give you the confidence to be out even on the most challenging winter days.

For urban use and walks: lightweight spike crampons. For mountain hikes and longer trips: sturdier crampons with more spikes. For summit tours and ice climbing: technical crampons. Make sure the crampons are compatible with your shoes.
A good pair of shoes can make the difference between a comfortable and an uncomfortable day outdoors. We recommend trying on shoes with the same type of sock you plan to wear, and make sure there is a little room in front of the toes – especially important for long hikes in uneven terrain.
