OrganoTex – eco-friendly waterproofing from Sweden

OrganoTex is developed and manufactured by the green chemistry company OrganoClick AB in Täby, Sweden. The brand specialises in textile waterproofing and water-repellent treatments that are 100% bio-based, biodegradable and PFAS-free. The technology is inspired by nature's own chemistry – such as the way water beads off a leaf – and has been developed on the basis of fatty acids, water and surfactants.

Wash-In, Spray-On and the BIO range

The range includes Wash-In Textile Waterproofing, which is run through the washing machine, and Spray-On Textile Waterproofing, which is applied directly to garments and equipment. The BIO range represents the latest generation, with even better performance and water repellency that lasts wash after wash. The range also includes shoe spray and leather wax for footwear, as well as a detergent designed for use with waterproofed textiles.

Certifications and 3D technology

The patented 3D technology bonds to the textile fibres themselves at depth, rather than forming a film over the surface of the fabric. The result is that the material retains its breathability, colour and structure, whilst repelling water and dirt. The products are certified with OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT and USDA Certified Biobased Product 100%, and meet the biodegradability requirements set out in OECD 301F. Manufactured in Sweden to ISO14001 and ISO9001. A natural choice for those who want to keep shell garments and outdoor equipment water-repellent without using fluorine-based chemicals.
