1 / 1OrganoTex BioCare Garment Kit contains both an award-winning wash-in waterproofing treatment and a liquid detergent in one package – 100 ml of each – and has now been updated with even better performance and a higher proportion of bio-based ingredients.
The detergent has been developed specifically for technical textiles such as shell garments, softshell, fleece and rucksacks. Unlike ordinary detergent, it leaves no chemical residue that can impair breathability or functionality. Enzymes in the formulation effectively break down stains from grease, grass, egg, blood and proteins. The product is water-based, phosphate-free, highly concentrated and readily biodegradable. The dosage is 40 ml for soft water and 60 ml for hard water, intended for up to 5 kg of clothing.
The waterproofing treatment is simply washed into the garment via the washing machine and restores the textile's water- and dirt-repellent properties. It bonds directly to the textile fibres rather than forming a film on the surface, which preserves the garments' breathability, colour and structure. The treatment is bio-based, readily biodegradable and completely PFAS-free.
How to use the kit: Wash and rinse the garment without fabric softener. Leave the clothing in the machine, pour the waterproofing treatment into a clean detergent compartment – 100 ml for one garment, 150 ml for two and a maximum of 200 ml for three garments – and run a short wash-and-rinse programme. For best results, tumble dry the garment on a low heat setting, or air dry for at least 24 hours.
