Real Turmat is a lightweight, freeze-dried outdoor meal from Norwegian company Drytech in Tromsø, which has supplied field rations to the Norwegian Armed Forces since 1989. The dishes are made primarily from fresh Norwegian ingredients and freeze-dried through a process that removes only the water, preserving flavour, aroma and nutrients. The result is energy-rich, nutritious food with a long shelf life and minimal weight in your pack.

Preparation is simple: open the pouch, pour in hot water up to the fill line, stir well, close the pouch again and wait a few minutes. The meal is eaten directly from the pouch, which opens out to form a bowl.
