Norwegian quality knives from Geilo since 1896

Brusletto – Norwegian knife tradition from Geilo since 1896

Brusletto is one of Norway's most established knife manufacturers, founded in 1896 by Rognald Brusletto in Geilo. It began as a knife and scythe smithy, and grew through its own water-powered mechanical hammer, which enabled industrial production. Brusletto is still based in Geilo, and since 2019 the company has been part of Dalema Gruppen via Ultimate Nordic.

Hunter, Hallingen and Olympic knives

Brusletto has an impressive portfolio of classic models. The Hunter knife was launched in 1961 and has sold over 1.4 million units. Hallingen and variants such as Bamsen and Storbukken are other popular outdoor knives. Brusletto has produced Olympic knives for both the Oslo Olympics in 1952 and the Lillehammer Olympics in 1994, where 200,000 Olympic knives were sold. The range also includes scout knives, kitchen knives, bunad knives, axes and outdoor accessories.

Handcraftsmanship and lifetime guarantee

Every knife goes through around 50 hand operations at the factory in Geilo, from the selection of raw materials to the finished knife with handle and sheath. Brusletto offers a lifetime guarantee on knives produced at the Geilo factory – a clear commitment to quality. An excellent choice if you are looking for a Norwegian outdoor knife or gift knife with genuine craftsmanship and a history spanning five generations.
