C.A.M.P. Ares MIPS is the result of a collaboration between C.A.M.P. and Swedish MIPS, and represents a significant step forward in head protection for work at height and arboriculture.

The MIPS safety system is based on a low-friction layer positioned between the head and the helmet. In the event of angled impacts, the system allows direction-independent movement of 10–15 mm, significantly reducing rotational forces on the head. Advanced brain simulations have shown that the MIPS system reduces the stress the brain is subjected to during angled impacts – one of the most critical factors in concussions and brain injuries.

The helmet is easy to adjust with one hand via the dial at the rear, and the vertical positioning of the headband is adjustable both at the front and back. The chin strap releases at 15–25 kg, can be easily removed during ground operations, and is designed so as not to interfere with hearing protection during use. Attachment points for hearing protection, visor and headlamp are in place, and a visor can be attached quickly when needed.

The shell is made of ABS and polycarbonate, and the helmet contains no metal components – eliminating any risk of corrosion and electrical conductivity. One size fits all, and the helmet is available in three colours. With nine versions of coloured stickers, it can also be personalised. A built-in NFC TRACK chip enables digital identification and periodic inspection.

The helmet meets EN 397 with additional requirements for lateral deformation, electrical insulation up to 440 V, low temperatures down to -20 °C and weld spatter, as well as EN 50365 Class 0 for use in the vicinity of electrical installations up to 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c.
