When does a headband make sense?

For intense training in cool weather: merino wool wicks sweat and keeps your ears warm. For everyday use in the transitional seasons: a light headband is often enough. An underrated piece of kit that many people cannot do without once they have tried it.

A lot of body heat is lost through the head, and a good hat can make the difference between a comfortable outing and a cold one. Consider merino wool for natural temperature regulation, or fleece for a lighter, faster-drying alternative. Windblock panels help you retain warmth even on blustery days.
