Ziener – German glove specialist since 1946

Ziener is a German family company that has been making high-quality technical gloves for nearly eight decades. The company was founded in 1946 by master glove maker Franz Ziener Senior in Oberammergau in the Bavarian Alps – an idyllic area known for wood carving and passion plays. Today the company is run by the third generation of the Ziener family, and the head office and development department remain in Oberammergau, where the staff are themselves keen participants in the sports they develop gloves for.

Specialist in ski and cycling gloves

Ziener is one of Europe's leading brands in ski and cycling gloves. As early as 1952, Ziener made its first ski gloves – commissioned by the well-known skier Mirl Buchner from Garmisch-Partenkirchen – and from 1984 was the official glove supplier to the German national ski team. The range includes alpine Race Gloves (with knuckle protection, developed together with ORTEMA), Alpine Gloves, Snowboard Gloves, Multisport Gloves for ski touring and hiking, as well as Nordic Gloves for cross-country skiing and biathlon. The Mountaineering Gloves collection was launched in 2018/2019 with Polartec and Alpinwool materials.
