Ulvang
Norwegian wool socks and merino since 1995
Ulvang – Norwegian wool garments since 1995
Ulvang was established in 1995 by Norwegian cross-country skiing legend Vegard Ulvang, three-time Olympic gold medallist and double world champion. The brand started with a single wool sock – Ulvang Spesial – and helped bring merino wool back into the sports and outdoor industry at a time when synthetic fibres dominated. Ulvang has been part of Norwegian forest and mountain adventures for 30 years, and has been part of the Brav group since 2004.
Socks, jumpers and base layers
The range is built around the natural materials merino wool and Norwegian wool. Classics such as the Spesial sock, Ultra Light Merino socks and the knitted jumper Rav are available for women, men and children. The range also includes base layers, mid layers, hats, mittens and neck warmers. Feral, a series launched in 2018, is produced in limited editions using Norwegian wild sheep lamb wool, spun at Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk in Norway.
Traceable wool and responsible production
Ulvang works with wool farms in Australia, Spain and Norway, and products come with mulesing-free certificates. The brand partners with factories in Romania, Lithuania, Portugal and China, and aims to be 100% transparent and fully traceable throughout the entire supply chain. A natural choice if you want quality wool with a Norwegian identity – from mountain hikes and ski trips to everyday use.
