Snickers Workwear
Swedish premium workwear for tradespeople since 1975
Snickers Workwear – Swedish workwear since 1975
Snickers Workwear was founded in 1975 by the tradesman Matti Viio, a Swedish-Finnish craftsman who grew frustrated with the workwear available on the market and decided to design his own. The brand name comes from the Swedish word snickare – carpenter. With a dedication to functionality, durability and freedom of movement, Viio laid the foundation for a new category of work clothing for Nordic tradespeople. Since 2007, the brand has been part of Hultafors Group.
Holster pockets, knee pad pockets and innovation
Snickers pioneered innovations such as the holster pocket and the tool vest – functional solutions that have become industry standards. The range includes work trousers, jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, vests, gloves, knee protection and tool belts for both women and men. Models such as AllroundWork, FlexiWork and RuffWork cover everything from construction and carpentry to industry and service. The ProtecWork collection is flame-retardant and certified for fire and arc flash environments.
Materials, certifications and sustainability
Snickers uses materials such as rip-stop, Cordura® reinforcements and 4-way stretch fabrics that provide durability in high-wear areas and freedom of movement throughout the rest of the garment. Hi-vis models are certified to EN ISO 20471, and the brand is a bluesign® partner and a member of the Fair Wear Foundation. A sound choice for those who demand professional workwear with a documented Nordic heritage – from one of Scandinavia's most established names in trade and industrial clothing.
