Hestra – handcrafted gloves from Småland since 1936

Hestra was founded in 1936 by Martin Magnusson in the small village of Hestra in Småland, originally as a manufacturer of work gloves for lumberjacks. When a local ski slope opened, the family began developing ski gloves, and today Hestra is one of the world's leading glove brands within skiing, outdoor pursuits, fashion and professional use.

Family business and quality craftsmanship

Hestra is still run by the Magnusson family, now in its third and fourth generations, from the head office in Hestra. All design, product development, sourcing of leather, wool and lining, and quality control take place in Sweden, while parts of the actual stitching are carried out by experienced glovmakers in, among other places, Hungary.
