FUBUKI – colourful winter boots from Japan and Sweden

FUBUKI was established in Sweden in 2019 by childhood friends Kalle Norman and Christofer Ljunggren. It began when Norman, on a skiing trip to Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, discovered the orange, lightweight and waterproof work boots worn by local ski patrol teams. He brought several pairs home to Stockholm, and the concept quickly grew into its own brand. The name fubuki means snowstorm in Japanese.

Lightweight, warm and colourful

The boots are moulded in a single piece of EVA, a lightweight material that provides low weight, good insulation and waterproofing down to low temperatures. The lining is a blend of Australian wool and recycled polyester, and the rubber outsole gives a solid grip on ice and snow. Models such as Niseko 3.0 (high) and Niseko Low are available in a range of bold colours, and are just as well suited to the mountains as to the high street.

FUBUKI is for those who want a warm, waterproof and unusually lightweight winter boot with a distinctive design. The range also includes children's models, rubber summer boots, insulated slippers and accessories.
