Darn Tough
Durable merino socks with a lifetime guarantee
Darn Tough – socks made in Vermont since 2004
Darn Tough was launched in 2004 by Ric Cabot at Cabot Hosiery Mills in Northfield, Vermont. The family business had been knitting socks for other brands since 1978, and gradually developed into its own brand with a focus on particularly durable outdoor socks. Every sock is still knitted and finished in Vermont.
Merino wool and high stitch count
The socks are knitted with a high stitch density in fine merino wool blended with nylon and elastane. The merino wool provides natural temperature regulation, moisture management and odour reduction, whilst the tight knit delivers long-lasting durability. The range is divided by activity, with styles for Hike, Run, Lifestyle, Ski/Snowboard and Work.
Unconditional lifetime guarantee
The most distinctive feature of Darn Tough is the unconditional lifetime guarantee: if the socks wear out, they are replaced. The combination of Vermont production, responsible wool (Responsible Wool Standard) and a no-exceptions guarantee makes Darn Tough a natural choice for mountain trips, long-distance hiking, work and everyday use.
