Craft Sportswear
Swedish performance sportswear for endurance since 1973
Craft Sportswear – Swedish technical sportswear since 1973
Craft was established in the textile town of Borås in Sweden, where founder Anders Bengtsson in 1973 developed the first underwear with moisture-wicking properties in polyester. Bengtsson tested the garments by weighing them after exercise, and was able to document that moisture was transported away from the skin. The brand Craft of Sweden was formally launched in 1977. The company has been part of New Wave Group since 1996.
The layering system and endurance sport
Craft was among the pioneers of the layering system, with technical base layers, insulating mid layers and protective outer layers. Today the brand focuses particularly on running, cycling, cross-country skiing, triathlon and team sports. Craft has long and close partnerships with professional athletes and teams, including the Norwegian and Swedish cross-country skiing national teams.
A broad range for training and competition
The range includes underwear, training clothing, cycling shorts, running tights, down jackets, winter shoes, cross-country skiing suits, gloves and socks. Craft is well suited to those who participate in endurance sport and want tried-and-tested, technical sportswear – from base layers to complete competition kits – with a clear Swedish heritage.
