Down jackets provide a great deal of warmth without being heavy – perfect for children who need to move freely. Lightweight and packable, they work both as an outer jacket and as a mid-layer under a shell jacket. Our range includes down jackets from leading quality brands. Many are made with RDS-certified down (Responsible Down Standard) for responsible production.
For cold, dry winter days: down jackets are ideal as an outer layer. For wetter conditions: wear the down jacket as a mid-layer under a shell jacket. Bear in mind that down jackets lose their insulating ability when wet – so on rainy days they should be protected with outerwear.
Children's clothing must withstand outdoor play, slides, snow and mud. Choose garments with reinforcements in high-wear areas, waterproof membranes with taped seams, and adjustable features that grow with the child.
