A lot happens between 08:00 and 16:00 at Jobb og Fritid's Bedriftssenter. We had a chat with Rikke, who on any given day can help a company put together a collection and then stand at the printing machine to make sure the logo ends up in exactly the right place.
So what is your job, exactly, Rikke?
"I'm a bit difficult to define," she laughs. "I'm a salesperson and adviser, but I also print logos myself. So I'm a little bit of everything at once. No two days are the same."
The Bedriftssenter at Jobb og Fritid helps everyone from small local businesses to larger corporations to dress their employees, teams and organisations. Workwear, branded clothing, training kit – and, not least, the logo that lets everyone know who you are.
Who comes in?
"All sorts, really. Companies that need new workwear, gyms that want new kit, organisations that want to look professional. Some know exactly what they want. Others need a bit more help figuring it out – and that's the part I enjoy most."
What do you enjoy most about the job?
"It's the moment when a customer sees the finished result for the first time. Especially when we've spent a bit of time finding the right solution together. That's usually when someone says 'yes, that's exactly what I had in mind' – even though they couldn't describe it at the start," she smiles.
And printing – what's it like to work at the machine yourself?
"It's very hands-on and satisfying. You see the result straight away. There's not much room to cut corners," Rikke chuckles. "But that's also what makes it fun. You know when you've done a good job."
What's the most common mistake people make when ordering branded clothing?
"Leaving it too late! A lot of people think it happens quickly, but if you need clothing for the start of a season, a trade fair or an event – get in touch in good time. We want the chance to do the job properly."
She thinks for a moment and adds:
"And people underestimate how much the logo matters. A well-executed print on the right garment genuinely affects how people perceive your brand. It's not just a logo – it's the first impression."
Is there anything you don't like?
"Tidying up after a busy day," she laughs.
