Rumpl – blankets made for whatever comes up

Rumpl is an American brand that invented the performance blanket category. The idea came about when designers Wylie Robinson and a friend were stranded on a surf and ski trip in California one cold night – the car wouldn't start, and they realised that quilted sleeping bag materials could be used in a blanket that was just as functional and portable as a jacket. The result was the Original Puffy Blanket, and Rumpl is today a B Corp-certified and Climate Label-certified business that donates 1% of sales to environmental causes through 1% for the Planet.

Original Puffy and sustainability

Original Puffy Blanket is Rumpl's flagship and bestseller – with over 1 million sold. It is like your favourite jacket in blanket form: insulated with synthetic RenewaLoft fill, weather-resistant with a VersaWeave ripstop shell, and keeps you warm down to around 7 °C. It also features a PFAS-free water-repellent coating, is machine washable and vegan. Each Original Puffy is made from at least 60 recycled plastic bottles (100 for the 2-person size). The hands-free Cape Clip® lets you wear the blanket as a cape – perfect for cooking, stargazing or festivals.

Wide range and uses

Rumpl offers 1- and 2-person Original Puffy, Mini (for children), Compact Throw and special variants such as the All-Season Puffy for warmer climates. The designs come in hundreds of prints – from solid colours and geometric patterns (such as Geo Fresh) to signature patterns like Valley Seascape, Burning Blue, Sedona and Midnight Retro Stripes.
